Central Otago's Domain Road Vineyard, near Bannockburn, is sited in a sheltered valley which provides a unique micro-climate, ideal for producing premium wines.
Our Pinot Gris has been de-stemmed and crushed before being pressed. The juice is fermented (8% in French oak) to retain a hint of sweetness in an off dry style.
Melon, pear and quince on the nose, with a hint of floral and spice. The sweet taste of pear, stone-fruit and melon come through on the palate. This medium bodied wine has a good texture and fine balance.
Enjoy with Asian cuisine, seafood, white meats, salad dishes or as an aperitif.

Central Otago is having its fair share of success with Pinot Gris, as the Domain Road Pinot Gris 2013 (18.0+/20) shows. Off-dry to taste, delicate flavour of stonefruits and lifted honeysuckle feature on the palate. The wine grows in weight and a fine-textural presence carries the gently rich and luscious fruit. This is an elegant, lively and gently luscious Pinot Gris, with a refreshing, crisp finish.
