Our Domain Road vineyard is sited in a sheltered valley in the town of Bannockburn which provides a unique micro-climate, ideal for producing premium wines. Defiance vineyard is on nearby Felton Road with gently sloping North facing vines.
The Pinot Noir fruit for this Rosé comes from vines at both our Domain Road vineyard and Defiance vineyard. The same hand tended quality grapes go into making this wine as we use for our premium estate Pinot Noir.
The Wine
Each vintage we endeavour to make our Rosé with our trademark pale pink colour. This to us is the colour a Rosé should be. The fragrant aromas of strawberry, raspberry, white melon and peach on the nose give a hint of what is to come. Dry, with sweet stone fruit, red berries, ripe strawberry and a hint of citrus on the palate.
A complex, nicely balanced dry wine with good layers of concentration and minerality leading to a delicious cherry finish.
Suggested food matches: Chicken, oysters, shellfish and soft cheeses. Also starters and hors d'oeuvres. Grilled vegetable salad or in summer, watermelon and feta salad.

Winestate: "Instantly appealing, this vigorous, bright pink wine is very fresh and lively. It has strong peach, strawberry and watermelon flavours, with a hint of apricot, balanced acidity and a finely balanced, dry finish."
Michael Cooper (Listener Jan 2023). "This classy, vigorous wine was grown on two sites in Bannockburn. Bright pink, it is instantly appealing, with fresh, generous peach, strawberry and watermelon flavours, a hint of apricot and a basically dry, lasting finish.
