Central Otago's Domain Road Vineyard, near Bannockburn, is sited in a sheltered valley that provides a unique micro-climate, ideal for producing premium wines.
Our Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted partially on the top of Templers Hill, an area left untouched by 19th century gold miners, and partially on Doctors Flat where mining has exposed mineral-rich clays from a 2-million year old lake bed.
A portion of the juice was barrel fermented in older French oak barriques.
This Sauvignon Blanc shows attractive aromas of pink grapefruit, gooseberry, pineapple and hints of capsicum on the nose. A mouth-filling wine with good weight and texture on the palate, well balanced with great length on the finish.
Enjoy with seafood, white meats, salad dishes, or as an aperitif.
