Our Gris is Golden - Our recently released 2019 Defiance Pinot Gris has just picked up the Champion Trophy for Pinot Gris in the New Zealand Aromatic Wine Competition AND a Gold Medal in the New Zealand International Wine.

These are great results from a young wine - six months ago we were only just harvesting the fruit.
The fruit was whole bunch pressed with 22% being fermented in older French Oak barriques. Concentrated and luscious on the palate it is a wine for both drinking now or cellaring (if you have the will power!!).
It is already proving popular with our cellar door visitors so we suspect that it will not sit around with us for very long!! So if you are in Central Otago please call in and sip some!
