2009 Pinot Noir - Single Vineyard
Central Otago's Domain Road Vineyard, near Bannockburn, is uniquely sited in a sheltered valley which provides a micro-climate, ideal for producing premium wines. The Pinot Noir grapes are planted on high quality loam soils which overlay schist gravels and ‘pipe clay’.
Deep Crimson with purple hues, attractive sweet red and black berries on the nose with hints of spice dried herbs and beautifully integrated oak. Medium weight on the palate with cherries and plums coming through supported by our customary fine grained tannins. This is a beautifully balanced wine with excellent length.
Food match: rabbit, duck, lamb.
