Another gold at the International Wine Challenge - London

19 May 10
Domain Road Pinot Noir has achieved gold for the second year running at the London International Wine Challenge. This year it is our 2008 vintage, released in February 2010, that has made us proud.

What the judges said
Pale garnet colour with a watery rim. Strawberry and vanilla fruit aromas with a touch of herbaceousness. Great depth of flavour with a long, lingering, creamy finish.

2008 was a big volume vintage in Central Otago as it was in much of the country and the care we took with our blends and extra oak aging has been the key to our success with this vintage. We were very keen to have a great follow on to the highly awarded 2007 Pinot Noir and keep up our philosophy of making the best we can - always.
