Graeme and Gillian Crosbie
Domain Road Vineyard is owned by Graeme and Gillian Crosbie who were originally drawn to the Bannockburn area over four decades ago. Gillian’s childhood summer holidays were spent at the Bannockburn Domain camp ground.
Graeme and Gillian have continued to enjoy family holidays in Bannockburn with its hot summers and crisp clear autumn days. The glowing red and gold colours of the autumn vines and trees contrasting with the spectacular landscape of historic goldfields and mountains make Bannockburn a very special place to be.
Carol Bunn
Domain Road’s winemaker is the highly respected Carol Bunn. Growing up in Central Otago kindled a natural interest in viticulture and after a degree in geography and work in resource management Carol completed a postgraduate diploma in viticulture and oenology. Her practical experience at Dry River in Martinborough, Amity Vineyard and Adea in Oregon, and then the Langdale Wine Estate in Canterbury led her back to Central Otago in 2001. A vintage at Black Ridge was followed by four at another Bannockburn vineyard, Akarua. Carol began making Domain Road wines in 2006.
